1 Data information

This biological classification analysis performs a hierarchical cluster computation of the larger species group encounters in the most found survey in the chosen area. These species groups are:

  • All non-chordate species (mainly benthic life)
  • Elasmobranchs (skates, rays and sharks)
  • The fish orders (taxonomical meaning) occurring more than 100 times.
These surveys allow to evaluate the richness of marine environment using scientific cruises. It provides an insight on biological communities and populations' dynamics as it measures the size and weight for some species.
